My Nans kettle broke, so being the nice lad I am I told her I'll pick her up a new one at Tesco, she gives me £20. £20 on a kettle? What kind of madness is this. This didn't piss me off though. I thought I'll get it tomorrow seeing as I'm at the Tesco's in Brookfield Farm which is quite big and will definatly have a kettle, after telling my Nan that I told her I'll get Mum to drop it off tomorrow, now the good bit starts.
She instantly replies "no I won't", of course you won't Mum, of course. The reason was "because I don't like going out after I get home from work". She goes on like she has the most stressfull job in the world, when really she's a secretary or something for the head of HR at the London Transport Police, not as stressfull as most jobs out there, right?
She then goes on saying she's exhausted when she gets home from work. Right... she gets up at 6, I get up at 7. She has to travel 45 minutes by either train then tube, or drive to Oakwood then tube to Camden. She then gets home at 5ish. I get up at 7.30, an hour and a half after she does, but that doesn't mean my day's any shorter than hers is. I then travel an hour, hour and 15 by two busses to my college, half an hour longer than her travel. I then finish college at 5, get back around 6.30. So we're both out for 11 hours, and I'm not "exhausted" when I get back, just quite sleepy, mainly because I barely get any sleep when I've actually gotta be up for something. I normally end up falling asleep a few hours after I get home for a little bit if I don't go out anyway.
She has a car, I have feet. It takes me 20-25 minutes to walk from mine to my Nans, it takes her 2 minutes by car. I get my new PC tomorrow, so I won't wanna leave the house for shit before I sort it all out. She has nothing to do when she gets home, n o t h i n g. She want's me to take the kettle to my Nans. Fuck no, she has a car, why can't she? It takes me over 20 times longer than it does for her to go to my Nans. She then goes on about how I'm ridiculously lazy, yeah I am, but thats just hugely hypocritical seeing as you can't even travel a maximum of 5 minutes by car.
After that, she then changes her excuse to say that theres gonna be rush hour. No, no there isn't. The only time Chase Side and Holtswhite Hill have traffic is when Chase Side Primary gets let out, and thats at 3ish, she's still at work by that time, so traffic isn't gonna effect her at all, not one little bit.
Then in the car ride home she uses the typical Mother's speach "OH YOU GO ON LIKE I DON'T DO ANYTHING FOR YOU, I COOK YOU DINNER WHEN I GET HOME, PUT CLOTHES ON YOUR BACK" etc. etc. we've heard it all before, right? Normally Monday dinners consist of something oven cooked, not even done by hand, even I can do it myself, fuck.
I'm not the one that's being a dick, am I?

sounds like my mother tbh, although i think i do more for her than she does for me :P
